Hope you’re doing okay! Things feel so crazy right now as parents and schools are to be or not to being— that back to school situation. We’ve had a busy past few weeks getting all of our plans set in motion for the new Lauren Liess & Co. shop and designing a bunch of new products!
Last week we were down in the Outer Banks getting our little beach shack set up, and it really got me thinking about how we live, try to live, and what I can do to affect my daily habits even more. Our cottage (we call it “Lost Cottage”) is only 800 square feet, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about that once we were living in it, but after a week there, my head is spinning with ideas and thoughts on living smaller. I’m processing it all but will definitely be back to talk about it.
We also launched an official LAUREN LIESS & CO. APP!!!!!!!!! I am BEYOND pumped about this!!!!
This has been months in the making, and I am so happy to share it with you!! When we started paying attention to where everyone was reading and shopping, we could see that almost 100% (98%) of people were reading and shopping on their phones and we started thinking about how much more seamless and user-friendly things could be on an app that was made specifically for mobile. So we set about creating a simple, beautiful, and super-easy user experience in our new app where people can not only shop but get inspired, read blog-like content, watch app-exclusive videos, and see photos of our interior design projects. Download it by following the links below or by typing Lauren Liess & Co. into the Google play store or the Apple App Store. Hope to see you over there!! 🖤
So far, we have the shopping portion up and running, but over the next few months we are adding a bunch of the really fun features, and it will be almost like an app version of the blog or a mini-magazine covering all the things I generally love to share here and on Instagram broken down into topics -like home, organization, design, food, gardening, and trying to live a happier more down to earth life- with videos, photos of new projects, downloadable playlists and all of our HOMEWORK episodes.
If you don’t have a phone or don’t know how to download apps etc. (I’m talking to you, Grandmother!! 🙂 don’t worry, I’ll still be posting here too!! As summer winds down, I’ll be back to writing a bit more.
If you have any ideas or suggestions on what you’d like to see on there, would love to hear about it in the comments!! Hope you’re doing okay and are staying safe. Sending love!
