One of the things keeping me sane lately has been my kitchen garden.  Walking through it, working in it, running through it with the boys, harvesting from it, relaxing with my husband in it…  I love my time in there so much.

The amount of veggies we haul out of it on a daily basis is CRAZY.  Tomato sandwiches are the favorite around here right now.  Surprisingly, the boys have caught onto our goat cheese obsession and our family has really been enjoying sitting around the island chowing on little platters like this one:

That green thing is a roll of goat cheese with honey drizzled on it and chopped chives, parsley and basil inspired by my friend, Davis.  It’s Heaven.  The boys looooove it.

Justin, my three year old, has a deep raspy voice and cracks me up with, “Mommy, can I have some drunken goat cheese?  (that’s it with the bite out of it below)

I’m not sure what it is, but there’s not much that satisfies me more than growing food, cooking with it and watching my boys eat it.   (Maybe it’s the influence of my Italian Grandma Maestranzi in me 😉 😉
