Open Flame Sausage Pot

Lauren Liess' Open Flame Sausage Pot
The perfect outdoor open fire dish, we came up with this one when our house was being renovated and we didn’t have a kitchen. We started with a base of our favorite sausage and then layered in brussel sprouts, carrots and wild onion grass.

Ingredients  

  • Sausage Links chopped or whole
  • brussel sprouts whole or halved
  • carrots chopped or shredded
  • onion grass or chives chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves chopped
  • baby potatoes (optional)

Instructions

  • Toss chopped sausage into a pot heated over an open flame and begin to brown.
  • Add in brussel sprouts and as they begin to soften and the sausage is almost fully cooked, add in carrots and any other vegetables.
  • sprinkle in chopped onion grass or chives.
  • Salt to taste, serve and enjoy!
