Salmon with Dill Sauce

Lauren Liess' Salmon with Dill Sauce
Sockeye salmon is coated in a simple dill mixture and cooked inside foil on a hot grill or in the oven for a satisfying main dish. A crowd-pleaser, it’s easy to prep the salmon in advance, wrapping it in foil to pull out for a big party.
Prep Time: 15 Minutes, Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients
Instructions

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb. wild caught salmon
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • handful of dill chopped
  • 1/2 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 lemon for squeezing

Instructions

  • Set the raw salmon on a large sheet of tin foil (it will need to be large enough to  loosely wrap over the top of the salmon when you’re done preparing it) and salt.
  • In a little bowl stir the mayonnaise with the chopped dill, crushed garlic, and salt and pepper it to taste.
  • Spread it over the salmon and drizzle with lemon juice.
  • Add about an ounce of water to the bottom of the tin foil (make sure to avoid pouring it over the salmon) and loosely wrap the tin foil closed over the salmon, trying to keep the foil off of the sauce if possible.
  • Put it on the grill on medium head (approx 375) or in the oven on 375 until cooked to your preference. (We like medium/ moist-approximately 10-20 minutes)
  • Unwrap and serve!
