This has felt like the one of the most beautiful springs I can remember in a long time! The flowers have been magical!! Each year I become more and more obsessed with daffodils. The kids have helped us plant a couple thousand each year and I have no plans on stopping this tradition. I love looking out the window and seeing the fresh yellow dotting the yard or bringing them inside for arrangements. We have one particularly small variety that has the most beautiful scent and sleeping next to it at night is heaven.
Our pair of goslings, Snowdrop & Primrose are growing bigger by the hour. It’s been sunny and we’ve been busy planting perennials around the meadow with the goslings in tow. I can’t wait to see this place in full bloom!
We’ve been busy with presentations and installs at Lauren Liess Interiors and we just installed an incredible project for clients in Buena Vista, Virginia- a historic four square on the most beautiful farm property in the mountains, Battlerun Farm. We’ll be sharing the story soon on our YouTube channel, but for now, here are some good ol’ iPhone pics from the install. It’s a nostalgic project filled with aged materials and yesteryear charm- wallpapers, tapestries, and candlelight.
We visited Highpoint Market trailer this week where we debuted new products for my collections with Taylor King & Woodbridge Furniture. It was a whirlwind trip but so good to see friends & colleagues down there!! We have some exciting things in the works and I can’t wait to share it all with you!!
And, as a reminder, we’re dropping new full-length Meadow episodes on our youtube channel every Thursday!! It’s a vlog style series about creating home there and all that it entails. Now that the house is (almost) finished we have lots of projects going on with the gardens, goose pen and more!! If you have some time to pop over there and subscribe, I would SO appreciate it! (We’re just getting into the world of Youtube but apparently subscriber count is super important for youtube to share your content. ) We’re launching a new fun cooking show- DOWN TO EARTH KITCHEN- next week and have been having so much fun with the new channel!!
This week’s episode (above) takes place at a particularly crazy point in life recently where we had to undergo construction all over again. (Womp womp) To check it out, click on the video above or go here. And finally, here’s a little mood board created by my team of some of the clothes I’m wearing & products in the episode. (That striped cotton skirt is my current favorite thing in my closet and I know it’ll go quickly so def check it out if you like it!!)
Hope you enjoy and hope you have a wonderful week!!
xo,
Lauren
