It’s a busy time of year for installations for us, so I’ve got more before & afters to share with you! ūüôā¬† (We have two more this week so be sure to check out instagram!)

Today I wanted to share the¬†family room addition our clients’ built onto their home.¬† They contacted us after the renovation was completed and gave us a completely¬†blank slate to work with.¬† Our clients were looking for a comfortable and relaxed space where they could snuggle up with the kids and relax.¬† We wanted it to feel pretty yet floppable.¬† My client is drawn to fresh colors and patterns.¬† Here’s what the family room looked like before:

…And here it is now:

{I took this pic before the window treatments were fully installed}

One of my favorite elements is the custom¬†cushions made on a chair out of Peter Dunham’s Samarkand:

We mixed blues and greens and brought pattern in through the pillows and rug.¬† I found the vintage hexagon lamps (flanking the sofa) at Spring Market…

{Fabrics on theblue sofa from left to right: Lauren Liess Textiles “Pierced Porcelain”/ Peter Dunham’s “Jaipur”/ and a floral by Schumacher}

We warmed up the room with natural woven shades and lots of natural materials, including the jute rug, which we layered with a blue patterned wool rug.  The massive leather ottoman in the center of the room is perfect for pulling up to the sofa during movie nights.

When we return to finish up the living room and the accessorizing, I’ll be sure to share more pics, including the dining area.¬† I’m off for the day but hope you enjoyed!!¬† Wish me luck as we start this whirlwind of a week!! ūüôā
